Privacy

Effective 16 August 2026

This is a personal site. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no comments, and no shop. There is nothing here to have an account with, so there is very little to say — but what there is, is said plainly.

No cookies

This site sets no cookies, of any kind, first-party or otherwise. Nothing is stored on your device by visiting it, so there is no consent banner — not because one was skipped, but because there is nothing to consent to.

Page counts

I count how often each page is viewed, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it stores no identifier on your device, does not follow you to other sites, and does not build a profile of you. It tells me that a page was read. It does not tell me who read it.

I look at this for one reason — to know which writing is worth continuing. There is no advertising here and nothing is sold, so there is nothing to target you with even if I wanted to.

Who else sees your request

Being honest about this matters more than a short list looks good:

That is the whole list. In particular, the typefaces are served from this site, not from Google. They used to be loaded from Google Fonts, which meant your browser contacted Google on every page load; they were self-hosted on 16 August 2026 and no longer do. Nothing on this page reaches a third party except Cloudflare, above.

What I do not do

If you email me

If you write to david@tatzel.io, I keep the email — that is what an inbox is. I use it to reply and nothing else.

Changes

If what this page describes ever changes, the page changes first, before the thing it describes. That ordering is the whole point of having it.
